April 2016. A tan skirt using Simplcity's pattern 1816. A picture of a very cute skirt I saw on Pinterest served as an inspiration for this skirt. My daughter likes ruffles, lace, and ribbon, so I added these embellishments. I altered the original pattern a little by lengthening the upper tier and shortening the middle one. I also sewed a layer of gathered tulle underneath the lower tier to give it more lift.
