January 2018. Although Valentine's Day is still a month away, I made some cards ready for my family members.

January 2014. Valentine's Day bookmarks. Instead of sending greeting cards this year, we will be sending bookmarks as all the recipients are avid readers. I got the inspiration off Pinterest. The prints are standard wallet-size photos. After crafting both sides I laminated the bookmarks. It was a fun project to make.

November 2013. A cross-stitched Christmas card. The pattern comes from "County Woman" magazine. I love the sewing theme of buttons and thread spool and needle. I may stitch up a few of these for this year. 

A cross-stitched card for Saara's ballet teacher. I found the free pattern on Pinterest and modified it slightly to fit on the card.

October 2013. Another card made with the butterfly punch. I have not sewed in so long and just had to add some stitches.

April 2013. A card and a prayer shawl for a friend. Although, I like drawing, I have been out of practice for over a decade and would rather rely on copying a picture. Here, I copied and char coaled an image I found on the internet. The prayer shawl's pattern is one of my favorite from the Lion Brand Yarn Co.

 January 2013. Two Valentine's Day cards. I got the inspiration from Country Woman magazine. I had used yarn/thread and embroidery in making cards before, but never buttons.

January 2013. I used Martha Stewart Crafts butterfly punch to make a card to go with the scarves for the Sandy Hook Elementary families. I found the template for the envelope on Pinterest.

September 2012. A birthday card for my cousin.

The same friend is my children's teacher and here are the children's cards for her birthday. Inspiration for all three cards came from some ideas I saw on the Pinterest.

August 2012. A baby card for friends who just had a sweet baby boy. Got the idea from a card I saw on Pinterest. I googled for an elephant silhouette, printed it out in thee different sizes, cut them out and glued them all together into a lovely family of three. Precious!

September 2011. A birthday card for a friend.

August 2011. Every now and then I will whip up an original design for a card and this was one of those times. A 'new home' card for my sweet Mom who just moved to her new home. I was rather excited to come up with a neat idea for the flowers. I centered my flower punch around a dot on a fun multicolored polka dots paper, punched it out, and - voila! - got a pretty flower with a colorful center. Fun!

February 2010. Garden Colours greeting cards. I bought a new punch and a stack of new papers and, of course, I had to try them out. The result is a nice number of cards to send.
