September 2011. A crochet purse to go with Saara's new T-shirt dress. I used Peaches and Cream cotton yarn. The pattern is my own: a simple rectangle of single crochet stitches sewn together at sides. The handle strap is long enough to cover the side seams. The flowers are a mixture of single crochet and chain stitches. The bag is lined with some left over fabric from Saara's dress. I also added a snap closure to make sure the contents will stay inside and not fly out when she is flying around.

March 2010. Dusty Rose crocheted purse. I found the pattern on one of my favorite yarn web sites - www.garnstudio.com Instead of the suggested DROPS yarn I used Red Heart "Dusty Rose". I lined the bag with green cotton fabric and added a satin ribbon in the same color.

January 2010. A denim purse with lots of fringe detail. I love purses! I did not even set out to make a purse, but after I had sewn my denim skirt and Saara's daisy dress, I still had fabric left over. So, out came Simplicity pattern 4117 and Voila! I have a purse to go with my new skirt.
